Healing Ribbons, a nonprofit for intergenerational and intertribal women in Nebraska and Iowa, is aiming to help them emotionally heal through sewing.

The group has been around for almost three years, and now has its very first executive director, Janelle Whipple.

Second bilingual preschool and childcare location opening in Lincoln

A second bilingual early childhood education program will be available for Lincoln-area families.

The second site for the Spanish and English program will be at First-Plymouth Church in Lincoln. It will have space for around 150 kids. This expansion of the bilingual program comes after the daycare previously in the church closed earlier this year.

UNL to dissolve Office of Diversity and Inclusion among other changes

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln will be dissolving its Office of Diversity and Inclusion.

Chancellor Rodney Bennett announced the decision in an email to students, faculty and staff last Tuesday. The move also eliminates the position of Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Inclusion.
